Rainbow Armadillo

'Rainbow Armadillo' 2007 started as 'Twist & Shout' a project for my book 'The Quilter's Guide to Twists & Tucks' (Anova 2006). I'd got all my units pinned up in correct order on my pinboard and loved the shaggy effect. So when I got chance I made it up again this way.

It was first exhibited at "Knots, rings & things" Lindisfarne August 2007.

I love the contrast of the regular geometry and the floppyness of the fabrics. I am working on several other designs in this technique so watch this space!
