Church/Theology

I am married to a United Reformed Church minister. We have experienced a wide range of Churches including charismatic/house churches between us before we got married.

We were trained at Northern College in Manchester which is a liberal college for the Baptists, Methodists, United Reformed and Unitarian Churches.

In London we worked with Clapham, Earlsfield, East Hill and St Andrew's United Reformed Churches. Sadly Clapham and Earlsfeld have now closed.

In September 2006 we moved to Hove where Alex ministers to Central (Blatchington Rd) www.centralurchove.com, Portslade (Station Rd) www.portslade-urc.org.uk and Hounsom Memorial (Neville Rd) churches.

We have friends in all sorts of churches and para church interest groups from a wide range of theological persuasions - as long as we all truly love Jesus what does it matter about what church we go to? I suppose I would call myself a soft evangelical with charismatic influences in that I'd love everyone to have a relationship with Jesus which is why I am so open about my faith, but I recognise often the church national has done damage to his image and the wonderful message that he died for each and every person and loves us just as we are. Out of our knowledge of this love, we want to change and make the world a better place for everyone.

I also believe passionately in environmental responsibility, recycling, cycling and fair trade.

I will write more when I've worked out how to edit this site!

Blessings,

Louise
